Livia Brito

Livia Brito has played a lead in a new telenovela almost every year since her television debut in 2010. Born on 21 July 1986, she is 40 years old in November 2026 [5] [6]. Her official site describes her as a Cuban-Mexican actress, model, entrepreneur and influencer [1]. Her recent work includes Mujer de nadie in 2022 and Amanecer in 2025 [2].

From Cuba to Mexico

SensaCine and Periódico Cubano both give Havana as her birthplace [5] [6]. Busca Biografías instead names Ciego de Ávila, so the sources disagree on this point [8]. She is the daughter of the actor Rolando Brito and the ballet dancer Gertrudis Pestana [5] [6].

At 13 she moved with her family to Mexico [5]. Her father opened a Cuban restaurant there. She worked as a waitress [5]. She later modelled to pay for her business administration studies [5]. In 2009 she represented Mexico in the World Banana Queen contest [5]. Busca Biografías adds that she finished as first finalist and won the Miss Photogenic title [8].

Debut at Televisa

In 2010 she trained at Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) [5]. The same year she debuted in the telenovela Triunfo del amor, playing Fernanda Sandoval [2] [6]. Her official site lists the production as a Televisa one and gives its run as 2010 to 2011 [2].

Abismo de pasión followed in 2012 [2]. She was Paloma González [2]. Her first starring role came with De que te quiero, te quiero in 2013 and 2014, as Natalia García [2]. Periódico Cubano lists her as the lead of that production [6].

In Muchacha italiana viene a casarse (2014 to 2015) she played Fiorella Bianchi opposite José Ron [2] [6]. The telenovela was shot partly in Italy [2]. Periódico Cubano reports that she won the ACE award for best actress in 2016 for this role [6]. The same article says she was named best theatre revelation by the Asociación de Críticos y Periodistas Teatrales in 2012 [6].

Stage and screen

Brito also worked in theatre. In El cartero (2012 to 2013) she played Beatriz González and shared the stage with Ignacio López Tarso and Helena Rojo [2]. She later appeared in Los bonobos (2015 to 2016) as Ángeles [2]. Periódico Cubano also lists the bioseries Por siempre Joan Sebastian (2016) among her credits [6].

Her film credits include Volando bajo (2014), where she played Ana Bertha, and La dictadura perfecta (2014), where she played Jazmín [2]. She played María in Juan Apóstol, el más amado (2017), which was shot in Spain [2]. In Infelices para siempre (2023) she played Carmen Pelusi [2].

Leading roles from 2017

La piloto (2017 to 2018) gave her the part of Yolanda Cadena [2]. She then played Regina Villaseñor in Médicos, línea de vida (2019 to 2020) and Fernanda Linares in La desalmada in 2021 [2].

Mujer de nadie came next. It is a Televisa telenovela that retells Amarte es mi pecado [4]. She plays Lucía Arizmendi, opposite Marcus Ornellas as Fernando Ortega, and Giselle González produced it [4]. It premiered on Las Estrellas in Mexico on 13 June 2022 and on Univision in the United States on 28 June 2022 [4]. A Salvadoran newspaper reported in May 2022 that she was recording it in Mexico and was 35 at the time [7].

In Minas de pasión (2023 to 2024) her official filmography credits her with two parts, Emilia Sánchez and Victoria Alcázar [2].

Amanecer

Amanecer was produced by Juan Osorio and began on Las Estrellas on 7 July 2025 at 21:30, and it is also available on ViX [3]. Fernando Colunga plays Leonel Carranza and Brito plays Alba Palacios [3]. According to TelevisaUnivision, Leonel targets Alba's family with his anger and forces her to marry him, and over time their resentment turns into love [3]. Her official filmography gives the full name of the character as Alba Palacios Salvatierra [2].

Beyond acting

Her official site presents a wider business. It lists a podcast, Esencia Livia, in which she talks about relationships, emotions and mental health, and a media kit for brand campaigns [1]. The site states a combined audience of more than 30 million followers, a figure it gives itself [1]. Her filmography page lists the podcast, available on YouTube, as a 2026 addition to her work [2].
