Duke Dennis

Duke Dennis was born on 26 February 1994 in Greenville, South Carolina, which makes him 32 as of 4 November 2026 [1] [2]. He is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer who built an audience on NBA 2K videos and now belongs to the creator collective AMP, alongside Kai Cenat [1] [3]. His Twitch channel has about 3.5 million followers [7].

Plenty of websites publish a different birth year, a "real name" or a net worth with no source. This page keeps to what named outlets and the platforms themselves state, and says plainly where nothing reliable exists.

Where he grew up

AfroTech and HotNewHipHop both give his birth date and place as 26 February 1994 in Greenville, South Carolina [1] [2]. HotNewHipHop says he grew up in the DeeBlock neighborhood of the City Heights apartment complex, in a small town with limited opportunities [2]. The same profile describes him as a nerd who liked anime and who found an escape in video games, especially NBA 2K [2]. His second YouTube channel is called DeeBlock Duke [1].

On family, the public record is thin and he has kept it that way. AfroTech reports that his brother Darius often appears in his videos, and that his mother encouraged him to keep going when he wanted to quit during basic training [1]. We do not report anything further about relatives, because the outlets we reviewed do not.

Football offers and the Army

Dennis was a talented football player. AfroTech reports that he turned down college scholarship offers and joined the military instead, in part to get out of a struggling neighborhood [1]. Basic training did not go smoothly. He has said he wanted to leave as early as then, and that he considered an illegal way to get discharged early before deciding against it [1].

After basic training he was stationed in Germany, where he handled administrative paperwork [1]. He completed his four-year commitment and returned home around 2017 [1]. He has described trouble with taking orders and with the rules on uniforms and haircuts [1]. HotNewHipHop credits the Army with instilling the discipline and work ethic that later helped his YouTube career [2]. If you searched for "Duke Dennis army", that is the whole documented story: one four-year contract, an office job in Germany, and a return to civilian life.

How he got his break

The channel existed long before it worked. Both AfroTech and HotNewHipHop say he started a YouTube channel in 2013, and AfroTech adds that he did not post regularly until he left the Army [1] [2]. His Twitch channel was created on 3 March 2016, according to the analytics site Streams Charts [7]. The main YouTube channel today is called Duke Dennis Gaming [9].

NBA 2K was what pulled viewers in. HotNewHipHop says his NBA 2K content drew more subscribers than his earlier videos [2]. AfroTech names "Angry Trash Talker" as one of his first videos to go viral and says his output covers NBA 2K, Call of Duty and personal storytelling [1]. He also parodied NBA player Carmelo Anthony [1]. From there he widened into commentary, personal stories, viral reactions, vlogs and collaborations, and HotNewHipHop says that by 2020 his videos regularly drew millions of views [2].

He added channels as the audience grew. AfroTech dates DeeBlock Duke to 2020 and a Duke Dennis Live page to 2021 [1]. On Twitch he runs a "Story Time" series and has hosted guests including Rich Homie Quan and Kaliii [2].

Joining AMP

HotNewHipHop says he joined the AMP (Any Means Possible) collective in 2020 [2]. Tubefilter profiled the group in July 2021 as a sports-and-gaming-focused YouTube group with six members [3]. At that point Duke Dennis had 1.63 million subscribers, Agent 00 had 1.7 million, ImDavisss 1.19 million, Kai Cenat 925,000, JustFanum 633,000 and Chrisnxtdoor 62,400 [3]. The group had just passed one million subscribers on its shared channel and marked the first anniversary of that channel [3].

The members moved into a shared house where all six lived and made videos [3]. AMP published one video every Monday, filmed every two to three weeks, and an average video took about six days from idea to finished edit [3]. Fanum said the members met online through gaming and in-person content before forming the group [3]. Tubefilter named Long Haul Management as AMP's management at the time and noted the group had not yet released official merchandise [3]. HotNewHipHop later described the group as living in a mansion in Georgia [2].

In August 2026 Complex's ranking of the 25 best streamers described AMP as "the groundbreaking collective that includes Kai Cenat, Fanum, and Duke Dennis" in its entry for Agent00, who placed seventh [8]. Dennis does not have his own entry on that list [8].

The table lists dated milestones only where a source gives the year. Roles are formats or platforms, since he is not credited as an actor.

Awards, recognition and the hard-to-source claims

Dennis was nominated in the Sports category at the 2023 Streamy Awards, with Deestroying, Good Good Golf, Jesser and Olivia Dunne [4]. Tubefilter's pre-show list also gave AMP two nominations, Show of the Year and Lifestyle, for a ceremony airing on 27 August [4]. We did not find a source we could open that confirms the results, so we do not report a win.

HotNewHipHop says Rolling Stone ranked him fifth on its 25 Most Influential Creators list and says his biggest following is on TikTok, where it calls him "an almost mythic figure for teenage boys" [2]. The same profile says Drake posted Instagram photos jokingly calling Duke his selfie influence [2].

On money, there is no Forbes or Bloomberg estimate. AfroTech repeats an estimated net worth "between $2 to $3 million", which it attributes to Sportskeeda and Vocal, and says this is not verified [1]. Treat it as a rough guess. AfroTech also notes that merchandise on Design By Humans sold "Real Talk" shirts at $25 and hoodies at $48, and that it is unclear how much this earns [1]. On spending, it says he bought his first Jeep Wrangler in 2017 and slept in it for three days out of excitement, and a "Lamb Truck" for his 30th birthday in 2024 [1].

The January 2024 meme

In January 2024 Dennis became the face of a TikTok format. According to Know Your Meme, a TikToker called @oneheart_real began posting videos on 20 January 2024 in which captions fade in from black [6]. On 28 January the first Duke Dennis video appeared, set to a slowed remix of DaBaby's "BOP" with the caption "can't sleep at night, can't wake up in the morning", and it earned over 1.6 million plays in two days [6]. A second one, "lifes hard but I'm harder", passed 2.7 million plays the same day [6]. The page also notes that memes of him and his outfit photos were already common before 2024 [6].

Relationships and private life

AfroTech says he used to date the musician Kaliii [1]. We found no reliable report of a current partner and do not repeat gossip. The same goes for children: none of the reliable profiles we reviewed says he has any.

The 2025 arrest in San Antonio

On a Saturday in early August 2025, Dennis, then 31, was arrested in San Antonio after a game of hide and seek with Kai Cenat at River Center Mall after it had closed, according to the San Antonio Police Department as reported by Spectrum News [5]. Bexar County jail records listed criminal trespassing and evading arrest [5]. Cenat was present but was not arrested [5]. Dennis was released on Sunday and posted on Instagram: "Officially on vacation, need suggestions on where to go... See y'all later" [5]. These were allegations at the time of reporting, and we found no reporting on an outcome.

What he is doing now

His Twitch channel is a Partner channel, listed under the team Any Means Possible, and Streams Charts puts it at about 3.48 million followers, mostly streaming Just Chatting and IRL content [7]. In the 30 days before this page was written he averaged 5,379 viewers over about ten hours of airtime, and his most recent listed stream, on 3 November, averaged 2,502 viewers [7]. The all-time peak of 120,058 viewers came on 7 July 2025 [7]. The analytics page itself carries some inconsistencies, so read those figures as approximate [7].
