She starred alongside Zendaya, who was also a Disney alumna, in the series [12]. The SCMP profile also lists Frenemies and K.C. Undercover, which it dates to 2015 to 2018, among her Disney work [12].

Film roles, from family comedy to the lead

Her film work includes a voice role in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, released in 2015 [12]. The SCMP profile places her in The Babysitter (2017) [12]. In 2018 she had the lead role in Midnight Sun, opposite Patrick Schwarzenegger [10].

More recently she stars as Lavinia in the thriller Find Your Friends. The film premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2025 and reached Shudder in June 2026 [7]. Music and Filthy Fangs

Her 2014 releases include the single 'Call It Whatever' and the EP Jersey [10]. Her own label, Filthy Fangs, launched during Coachella weekend in 2018 [14].

A deal to partner with Epic was reported and announced on social media by the producer Irv Gotti in August 2018. The report describes Epic as the American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment [14]. It calls the agreement a million dollar record deal, and it names no album or single [14].

Books

Her poetry collection The Life of a Wannabe Mogul: Mental Disarray came out in 2019 [10]. Her books also include three titles listed on her Penguin Random House author page: Autumn Falls, Autumn's Kiss and Autumn's Wish [13].

OnlyFans, 2020 to 2021

Thorne announced in an Instagram video in August 2020 that she was joining OnlyFans [4]. According to the company, she earned over $1 million through revenue in the first 24 hours after her account debuted [4]. Variety later reported that her earnings since launch had reached about $2 million [4].

The platform changed its policy the next year. OnlyFans said in August 2021 that it would ban creators from posting sexually explicit material from October, and it attributed the change to pressure from banking partners and payment providers [5]. A report on the change noted that several mainstream celebrities, Thorne among them, had set up accounts on the platform [5].

Directing and writing

Thorne was set, as of January 2024, to make her feature directorial debut with Color Your Hurt, a film from her original screenplay about a young gay man in the South [8] [9]. Filming was planned for the Midwest and Italy [8].

By 2025 she had wrapped the film, which she also wrote and produced [7].

Spring Breakers 2

On the August 5, 2026 episode of the podcast Call Her Daddy, Thorne made remarks about the sequel. She said: 'And now I'm writing and directing Spring Breakers 2' [6]. The producers had first watched an early cut of Color Your Hurt and then asked her to write something [6]. Thor Bradwell is listed as an original executive producer, and Chris and Roberta Hanley return for Muse Productions [6]. Thorne said, 'We're working with the original team' [6].

Asked whether original cast members would return, she did not confirm any. The report gives no release date, distributor or budget for the film [6].

Recognition in 2026

HOLA! named her in October 2026 to its Latina Powerhouse 100 of 2026 list, in the Entertainment category, for 'redefining her Hollywood career as an actress, writer, and director' [7]. The same article describes her move into writing and directing as a shift in authorship [7].
